A MORE EFFICIENT WAY TO BUILD
What is the BPD Program?
The City of San José’s Best Prepared Designer (BPD) Program streamlines the plan review process for qualifying residential projects. Projects that meet the program requirements and are prepared by an approved BPD participant may be eligible for an expedited permit review, helping you get to construction sooner.
Faster Plan Review
Qualifying projects may be reviewed in as little as 3–5 business days.
Comprehensive, code-compliant plans prepared by an approved BPD participant.
Permit-Ready Plans
Less back-and-forth. Fewer delays. Get to construction faster.
A Smoother Process
