Existing Floor Plan
The existing floor plan was evaluated to determine how a bedroom and bathroom could be reconfigured and expanded into a private attached ADU in Fremont. The new layout creates an independent living space while remaining integrated with the existing home.
Interior Kitchen Design
The interior elevations were developed to coordinate the ADU kitchen layout, cabinetry, appliances, and storage within the new living space. The design creates a clean, functional kitchen with a cohesive residential feel and efficient everyday use.
New Floor Plan
The new ADU floor plan expands and reconfigures the existing home to create a complete two-bedroom living space. The design includes an open kitchen and living area, full bathroom, dedicated laundry, and a private exterior entrance for greater independence.
Roof Plan
The roof plan was developed to carefully integrate the new ADU addition with the existing home. Roof slopes, ridges, and transitions were coordinated to create a cohesive roof form while addressing drainage and structural framing requirements.
Foundation Plan
The foundation plan was developed to support the new ADU addition while coordinating with the existing home’s foundation system. New footings, framing supports, and connections were designed to safely transfer loads and integrate the added square footage with the existing structure.
Building Section
Building sections illustrate how the new ADU addition connects vertically with the existing home, from the foundation and floor framing through the walls, ceilings, and roof. These drawings help coordinate structural transitions, building heights, and construction assemblies between new and existing conditions.
